We had photo and video producers Chris Ord and Simon Madden, a team from Adventure Types and Trail Run Mag, covering our sister race, the Shangri-La Marathon & Ultra, but afterwards we were fortunate enough to have them join us on a trip to Puzhehei as we began to revise the course for 2015. During the trip they captured the spectacular footage and produced the video seen above. Huge thanks for all their efforts, they did a spectacular job and we look forward to working with them in the future!
Here’s what Chris Ord has to say from his first hand experience in Puzhehei:
“Yunnan Puzhehei is no run-of-the-mill marathon and I’d run it in a flash,” says Chris Ord, who visited the race region recently for Australian-based, Trail Run Mag. “Passing through idyllic patchworks of traditional farming, weaving in and out of huge limestone karst land formations with stunning waterways of Puzhehei, over bridges, and past swan rookeries.
